In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I’m an entrepreneur, husband, and father. I care deeply about our country, our state, and the future we are building for the next generation. I want to bring the lessons I’ve learned in the private sector to public service. I believe every Ohioan should have the opportunity to use their God-given talents, pursue the American Dream,
I learned the value of hard work from my parents, who built a family-owned business. Under my leadership, that small buying group grew into an international organization representing more than $2 billion in purchasing power and working with more than 1,700 companies across the industrial, safety, and facility-maintenance industries. That experience has given me a firsthand understanding of the challenges facing small and family-owned businesses and the importance of creating an environment where employers, workers, and families can succeed.
Public service and community involvement have also been important parts of my life. I was appointed to Miami University’s Board of Trustees in 2018 and have served for the past nine years. I’m active in the Sons of the American Revolution, have helped support programs for students and ROTC cadets, and have helped raise money in support of wounded veterans.
My wife, Brittany, and I met at Miami University, and we live in Symmes Township with our sons, Preston and Kellan. My family, my Southwest Ohio roots, and my experiences in business and public service shape the perspective I bring to serving my community.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
I will work make life more affordable for Ohio families. That means lowering property taxes, reducing energy bills, and bringing down healthcare costs. Families should be able to keep more of what they earn and have greater financial security. I want to put more money in your wallet.I will work to protect our families and keep our neighborhoods safe. That means standing with the men and women of law enforcement and making sure they have the training, tools, and resources they need to do their jobs. We must enforce our laws, hold criminals accountable, and make public safety a priority in every community.I will work to cut government waste and make sure taxpayer dollars are spent responsibly. Government should be accountable for how it uses the money families and businesses work hard to earn. I will also focus on policies that support economic growth, strengthen Ohio businesses, and create more job opportunities across our state.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
One of my top priorities is bringing down the cost of living. I want to provide meaningful property tax relief, including protections that help seniors. I will remove unnecessary barriers to energy production so Ohio can produce more energy and lower costs. I also want to reduce healthcare costs by cracking down on Medicaid fraud and making sure taxpayer dollars are going to the people who truly need it. Education is another important priority. Our schools must be properly funded, and students and educators should have the tools they need to succeed. That includes supporting strong public schools while also recognizing the important role private schools play in educating Ohio students. Finally, workforce development is critical.
