In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

We need more representation of working class citizens in the Kentucky congress. People that know what it is like to struggle to pay bills, Representatives that support our farms. Bills that stop unwise development of our land. We need to educate OUR children in the state of Kentucky. Healthcare in our state is a joke. Kentucky needs more high paying jobs.

I am William Whalen. My friends call me Nick. I grew up in Grant County, on a small farm riding horses, a staple of Kentucky. On my father’s side I’m a fourth generation union member, 3rd in the electrical trade. My maternal grandmother owed and ran a cafe in Covington. I am a product of both public and Catholic education, public K-8, high school and college Catholic. Living in Louisville for a year and Covington for over a decade, I know the urban life of Kentucky. Now I live in Independence, in a suburb. I believe I represent a lot of Kentuckians, with my experiences, call me Nick and please vote for me.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

AFFORDABILITY. We need to slow the inflation rate and increase wages, by creating a well trained workforce, and higher paying jobs.EDUCATION. Taking away form our public education is the worst thing we can do. Certain areas may need reform, but we can not tear down without a replacement. Our teachers need a raise and we need PRE-K for all.HEALTHCARE. Kentucky's healthcare needs to be major improvement. In Northern Kentucky especially we have a medical provider monopoly we need to end.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

IFASTRUCTURE. We have not started building the roads to the 75 companion.

What organizations or individuals have endorsed your campaign?

Moms Demand Action Gun Sense
