Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I’m Will Wagner. I’ve lived in Bucks County for 45 years. I grew up in Levittown, live in Doylestown now. I am a musician, teach guitar, perform stand-up comedy for fun around Philly area, and care deeply for wildlife rescue. I’m not a politician. I don’t have a war chest or a party machine behind me. I’m running for Congress in PA-01 because nobody in Washington is listening to this district. We lost 175 people to overdoses last year. Property taxes are crushing families — Morrisville residents pay nearly double the rate of their neighbors in Buckingham. Our 824 farms are getting squeezed by tariffs and corporate consolidation while bailout money flows to big ag. The most important lesson I ever learned came from a highly respected civics teacher at Truman High: the second you forget about your constituents, they’ll remember. So here’s my deal — I vote your conscience, not mine. Quarterly town halls and before every major vote, in every corner of the district. My schedule posted online. Full transparency. I’m not running to build a career. I’m running because Bucks County deserves a kind and compassionate representative who actually shows up. A representative with no hidden agenda for personal gain.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Bucks County was built on family farms. Our first congressman, Henry Wynkoop, was a working farmer in 1789. Today, 824 farms still operate in this district; nearly half are under 50 acres, and 39% gross less than $2,500 a year. These families are getting crushed by tariffs, corporate consolidation, and a bailout system that rewards big ag while small producers get nothing. I’d love to create a Farmers First Relief & Renewal Plan addresses this directly: emergency relief for small farms, local food supply chain investment, and real protections against the trade policies that have been gutting this district for years. Brian Fitzpatrick has had eight years to fight for our farmers. He hasn’t. I will.Property taxes in Bucks County are among the highest in Pennsylvania, and the burden isn’t fair. The median homeowner pays over $5,400 a year, up 8% in six years. Morrisville residents face nearly double the millage rate of neighbors in Buckingham. Same county, wildly different bills. Families are leaving. Seniors choose between medication and their mortgage. I’ll fight to restore full state and local tax deductibility, push for federal property tax relief, and demand transparency in how federal dollars reach municipalities. Washington ignores property taxes because it’s not flashy. It’s the first thing people mention at every door.Healthcare costs are squeezing Bucks County families from every direction, premiums, prescriptions, surprise bills. But the problem isn’t just civilian. Our dual-status military technicians serve under both federal and state authority, yet fall through the cracks on benefits and protections because the law hasn’t caught up to how they actually serve. I’ll fight to lower prescription drug costs, expand access to mental health services, and fix the dual-status technician statutes so the people who defend this country aren’t punished by bureaucratic loopholes. Washington loves to say “support the troops.” I’d rather actually do it, starting with the ones coming home to Bucks County.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Accountability; real accountability, not the campaign slogan kind. I want to know why the Epstein files still aren’t fully public. The American people deserve answers about the worst crimes imaginable, and our government’s silence is complicity. I’m passionate about reining in federal agencies that have ballooned beyond their mission and ensuring no one entrusted with law enforcement authority has a criminal conviction on their record. And I’m passionate about changing who runs for office in the first place. Congress is full of career climbers chasing power and comfort. I teach guitar. I do stand-up. I rescue birds. Representatives should be regular people who actually care about their neighbors, not politicians who forgot why they ran.
