In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am a husband, father of two, and Hastings resident. I am not a politician. I will use my experience as a former teacher, charter school board member, and community volunteer to make Minnesota a better place.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Affordability - Cutting taxes, fees, and red tape that make Minnesota more expensive than neighboring states. Capping property taxes, making it easier to build affordable housing and expand childcare, and keeping more of Minnesotans' hard-earned money in their pockets.Accountability - Making government more responsible with taxpayer dollars. Eliminating fraud, waste, and abuse in state agencies, holding those responsible accountable, and making sure taxpayer money goes toward essential services and critical infrastructure like water treatment facilities.Academic Excellence - Cutting ridiculous mandates that weigh down our school districts and drive up property taxes. We must focus on policies that improve curriculum, raise test scores, and give teachers the tools they need to succeed. Minnesota has great schools, and we need to make sure we keep that reputation.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I am passionate about education and human services. My eldest son has a disability, and seeing firsthand how important these programs are to families like mine inspired me to run for office. I want to make sure Medicaid-funded programs are protected from fraudsters and that the resources intended for vulnerable Minnesotans actually reach them. I am also passionate about fixing Minnesota’s special education funding system and making sure schools have the resources they need to serve students with disabilities.
