In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
Get ICE out of Pennsylvania
Get women control of their own healthcare
Get Washington DC out of Pennsylvania politics
Affordability-making it easier for those who want their first houses to get them.
Affordability-Keeping our utilities public
Environment - Greater use of renewables in PA
Growing our High School Vocational schools. So that graduates can have a good career without college debt
Giving raffles back to Fire Companies across the state. This shouldn't have been taken away
Skills games - These are needed by our small businesses and non-profits. Pennsylvania should be able to tax these as well but there is a common ground here.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Getting ICE out of Pennsylvania. Our police and National Guard have better things to do. Immigration is an important federal issue and this is not the way to handle it.Make sure that women's healthcare is in their own hands and not in the state and federal hands of men.Affordability - Pennsylvania can help this at the state level. Whether that's working with first time homebuyers or low income retirees with being able to live where they want.
Keeping our utilities public across the commonwealth. That we are seeing water and sewer become the property of giant corporations needs to end before it bankrupts those on limited incomes.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Those would be immigration enforcement in the state. Also making sure that our fire companies can continue to fundraise with ease.
Keeping data centers out of the state. We are a farm rich state and need to stay that way.
What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
To listen to their constituents' needs and act upon them. That they are your primary responsibility. Not those that helped you get into office.
What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?
To do the best for your district and the states needs.
What legacy would you like to leave?
That I did the best for the people of Pennsylvania.
What do you believe is the ideal relationship between the governor and state legislature?
To work together towards a common goal.
What do you perceive to be your state's greatest challenges over the next decade?
Keeping our farms and avoiding getting into traps like data centers.
The move away from fossil fuels to a renewable future at the state level.
Keeping the states independence and not be at the will of the Federal government.
Do you believe that compromise is necessary or desirable for policymaking?
Compromise is necessary. As we have seen in Pennsylvania sitting on the fence and not being able to move puts things like the budget in a deadlock.
