In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am a small business owner and have been in 2 states. I have 2 grown children and 5 grandchildren. My ancestors were in Missouri over 100 years ago and I have been visiting the graves and learning about the history of Missouri both good and bad. It's time to bring back the good.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

The people of Missouri deserve their elected official that routinely provide honest truthful information on what is happening in Jefferson City. Currently they are not listening to the voices of the people are not being heard and legislators are voting their conscience not the peoples voice.Healthcare in Missouri especially in rural areas is loosing ground. We are having fewer options and having to travel longer, to be told it's not covered by insurance or without insurance we can't help you, and my favorite, that law says I can't do that. Healthcare should only be decisions made with the Dr., the patients and if requested the family. Government should not define medical definitions and make decisions for people they don't know.Workers rights. The voters in Missouri said they wanted a better minimum wage and earned sick leave, things that are really good for employee moral. I listened to the legislators talk about why they needed to overturn the vote of the people and every story they told was how this statute would hurt them. That mean they were more concerned themselves than the voters that elected them. That is not right.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

My biggest passion is keeping the freedoms and ability to live that we already have. The legislature is continually overturning or repealing items the votes managed to get added to the state constitution, not an easy process. Some of the time it is an out in the open repeal and others are being quietly repealed in other legislation. It should be harder to repeal anything the voters approved, than it was for them to get it approved.
