In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Originally from Texas but have bee in Missouri for 37 Years and in Franklin County for 7 years. I am a semi-retired Business Consultant specializing in workforce development and management. My education includes a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of North Texas and a Masters of Science from Lindenwood in St. Charles, MO.

After over 35 years working for large organizations such as Emerson, Coca Cola, Schlumberger, The Earthgrains Company and Anheuser Busch I elected to consultant. My clients were small to midsized originations within the St. Louis area.

During my time with unionized organizations I successfully negotiated over 80 labor agreements without one work stoppage or any unfair labor practice claims filed. I worked to insure employees had a safe working environment as well as built competitive compensation and benefits programs for salaried and hourly employees. I also built strong communication strategies to improve working relationships within the companies using various methods to include the Brinkman.

Upon semi-retiring I relocated to Union, Missouri in 2019 where I joined various civic organizations such as the Elks in Washington and the Lions Club of Washington.

Golf and Pickleball are my main physical activates. I attend The Presbyterian Church of Washington. I was widowed a number of years ago with my husband Jim passing from cancer.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

I believe in a strong Missouri which requires investment fully funding public schools, shop classes to return to high schools, skill trades training, We must develop targeted recruitment of businesses to the state with limited tax incentives. We need to assist farmers in developing markets within the state using refunded check off dollars from the USDA.It is imperative that we development a strong set of guidelines to protect our natural resources from being irrevocably damaged from new industries such as Data Centers. these guidelines will include geological surveys for all to understand the magnitude of harm, it will require full and transparent communication to the citizens being affected before any action is taken, It will forbid any elected official from signing Non Disclosure Affidavits, and finally it will require remediation costs to be in escrow prior to beginning the project.Healthcare is a must for Missouri citizens, we must develop funding mechanisms to insure rural hospitals are funded. We must have laws and governance that encourages doctors and medical practitioners remain in the state and that they are no longer threatened of license cancellation or they do not have the ability to maintain skills required by various medical boards. Rolling back ill-conceived tax breaks for the wealthiest Missourians will allow citizens to remain in their small towns and on their family farms and businesses. We must also consider alternatives to current insurance premium costs.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Education is a must for our future as businesses seek the talents of our citizens to build and grow their businesses. Whether it is learning the newest and greatest farming techniques or growing our own doctors education is the cornerstone of a full and productive life.
