In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I am a longtime Hawaiʻi resident, entrepreneur, and Human Optimization Engineer. I have lived a life shaped by hard work, independence, and real-world experience. I spent 25 years overseas in Austria, France, and China, where I learned what it means to start from nothing, adapt to different cultures, and build a life through persistence.
Those experiences gave me a deep appreciation for America’s freedoms, the importance of economic opportunity, and the need for government to live within its means. I am not running because I want a political career. I am running because I believe public office should be public service.
District 23 deserves a representative who understands the pressure local families face from housing costs, taxes, insurance, public safety concerns, and everyday expenses. I want to bring common sense, accountability, and an independent voice to the Legislature while focusing on affordability, small businesses, safe communities, and a stronger, more self-sufficient Hawaiʻi.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Lower the cost of living while raising the standard of living by rebuilding Hawaiʻi’s economy.
A low cost of living, strong economy, and high standard of living are the foundation for everything else, including public health, education, and safe communities. Hawaiʻi must become more self-sufficient by producing more of what we consume, supporting local food production, strengthening manufacturing, helping small businesses grow, supporting housing people can afford to own, reducing unnecessary tax burdens, and making it possible for working families to build wealth and remain in the islands.Restore accountability and common sense in government.
Public office should be service, not a career. I am running to bring an independent voice to the Legislature, ask hard questions, and make sure taxpayer dollars are spent responsibly. Hawaiʻi needs realistic price tags on legislation, stronger oversight, fewer empty promises, and a line-by-line review of the state budget. Government should focus on core responsibilities and measurable results.Improve daily life in District 23.
District 23 deserves clean neighborhoods, safer streets, practical disaster preparedness, and a representative who listens to residents instead of special interests. I will support policies that strengthen public safety, improve community resilience, respect families and seniors, and make government more responsive to everyday concerns. My focus is on practical local solutions that help people feel secure, respected, and rooted in the community they call home.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I am passionate about policies that make Hawaiʻi more affordable, self-sufficient, and accountable. My top priority is lowering the cost of living by rebuilding a stronger local economy. A higher standard of living creates stronger families, safer neighborhoods, better educational outcomes, better public health, and more resilient communities. Hawaiʻi must produce more of what we consume, support local food production, strengthen small businesses and manufacturing, reduce unnecessary tax burdens, and support housing people can afford to own. I also believe taxpayers deserve transparency, realistic costs for legislation, and measurable results from government programs.
