Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
As a woman and mother, I understand the challenges families face every day. For more than a decade, I've worked in the financial industry, helping people navigate complex systems, solve problems, and plan for the future. I also founded and operate A Pensacola Perspective, a nonprofit organization focused on strengthening communities through volunteerism, civic engagement, and local partnerships.
Throughout my career and community work, I've found that many of our biggest challenges aren't caused by a lack of good people or good ideas—they're caused by a lack of connection. I've dedicated myself to bringing together residents, businesses, nonprofits, educators, community leaders, and local governments to help bridge gaps, build understanding, and create solutions that work for everyone.
I'm running for Congress because I believe Florida's 1st District deserves a representative who listens, collaborates, and focuses on results. My goal is to help ensure that Northwest Florida has a strong voice in Washington while supporting policies that strengthen families, expand opportunity, encourage innovation, and invest in the future of our communities.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Northwest Florida deserves a representative whose focus is the people who live, work, and raise families here. For too long, many residents have felt disconnected from decisions made in Tallahassee and Washington. I believe local voices should help shape local priorities. My goal is to ensure our communities have a strong advocate who listens, remains accessible, and works to keep federal investments benefiting local residents, businesses, and workers. When Northwest Florida succeeds, Florida succeeds. Our district's future depends on creating opportunities that allow people to build successful lives without leaving the Panhandle. I support workforce development, skilled trades, entrepreneurship, innovation, and partnerships between education and industry. Economic growth should create opportunities for local residents while strengthening our communities. By investing in people, infrastructure, and emerging industries, we can prepare Northwest Florida for the future while preserving the character and quality of life that make our region unique.Government works best when people remain engaged beyond Election Day. Too often, residents feel they have little input once officials are elected. I believe representation should be an ongoing conversation. My goal is to increase transparency, improve communication, and create more opportunities for residents to share their perspectives on issues affecting their communities. Whether we agree or disagree, every constituent deserves to be heard and respected. Strong communities are built when people have a meaningful voice in shaping their future.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I am most passionate about policies that strengthen communities and create opportunities for people to succeed. My priorities include workforce and economic development, education and career readiness, infrastructure, housing, and community development. I believe Northwest Florida can become a leader in preparing workers for the jobs of tomorrow while supporting local businesses, skilled trades, and entrepreneurs. I am also passionate about helping bridge gaps between residents, businesses, nonprofits, educators, and government so communities can work together to solve challenges and build a stronger future for everyone.
What organizations or individuals have endorsed your campaign?
My friends, family, coworkers that I've worked with throughout the years, and most people that I meet support me, but breaking people out of the party lines voting is the biggest hurdle because our system has been setup to make people think there's only one way to do things, when that one way clearly isn't working for the people.
