In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I’m Troy Charbonneau, a conservative Republican candidate for Montana House District 53 and a lifelong public servant with more than 25 years serving Yellowstone County through law enforcement, EMS, and community service.
I spent more than 20 years with the Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office serving as a patrol deputy, detective, school resource officer, and crimes against children investigator. I served as an SRO at Canyon Creek, Elder Grove, and Broadview Schools, working closely with students, parents, and teachers while helping keep schools safe. My career gave me firsthand experience with the challenges facing Montana families, rural communities, law enforcement, and public safety.
Today, I continue serving the community as a paramedic with Laurel EMS, responding to emergencies and helping people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
I’m running for the Montana House because I believe our communities deserve accountable leadership focused on practical solutions, fiscal responsibility, and conservative values. My priorities include lowering property taxes, supporting law enforcement and first responders, protecting constitutional rights, strengthening rural healthcare and EMS services, and ensuring government remains transparent and accountable.
Yellowstone County has been my home my entire life, and I’m committed to continuing to serve the people and communities that have given me so much.
