In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I’m an Alaskan, husband, father of six, small-business owner, and attorney who has spent my career fighting for Alaska and the people who call it home. I was raised by a single mother and learned early the value of hard work, responsibility, and making the most of every opportunity.

My wife, Jodi, and I built a small business and raised our family in Alaska. As Alaska’s Attorney General, I worked to make our communities safer, helping bring crime down to 40-year lows. I fought to keep projects like Willow moving forward, defended Alaska’s right to develop its resources, and challenged the Biden administration’s vaccine mandates.

I’m running for governor because I believe Alaska has far more potential than we’re living up to. We have the resources, people, and opportunity to build a stronger economy, improve education and public safety, and make Alaska a better place to raise a family. I want to bring people together, get government out of the way when it can, and focus on getting results for Alaskans. Let's get Alaska moving again!

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Put Alaska Before Politics

Alaska families are feeling the consequences of years of political infighting and gridlock in Juneau. I’m running to put the political games aside, bring people together, and focus on the problems families are actually facing.Grow Alaska’s Economy and Create Jobs

Too many Alaska families are struggling with the cost of living and wondering what opportunities will be here for their kids. We need to grow our economy, develop our resources, support Alaska businesses, and create good jobs so families can build a future here.Protect Alaska’s Long-Term Future

Alaska families deserve a state that is strong and affordable for the next generation. We need to make responsible decisions with Alaska’s resources, live within our means, and build a future where our children and grandchildren have the same opportunities we’ve had.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I care about making Alaska a place where families can build a good life and feel confident about their future. As a husband and father of six, I think about the kind of Alaska we are leaving our children every day. That means safe communities, great schools, good jobs, and an economy where families can afford to live and raise their kids. I also believe strongly that Alaskans should be able to develop our own resources and decide our own future.
