Grantham's campaign website highlighted the following issues:
Unleashing the Economy – Jobs
We must lower taxes! Raising taxes during times of economic disparity is not an option. I support eliminating the state income tax which will attract even more job creating businesses to our state.
Tax Reform
Bottom line – if you want to stimulate the economy, create jobs and allow true economic growth then you must let the people keep more of their hard earned money. By flattening and then eliminating the state income tax, we will encourage additional spending and investment which has been and always will be the driving force behind true economic growth. Continuing to raise taxes to pay for even more government spending only grows the government, not our economy and certainly not job growth.
Education
Decisions regarding the education of our children need to be made by the parents and teachers in our state. I support private schools, charter schools, Arizona’s public schools and home schooling. Additionally, I believe that Arizona needs to expand on programs like the tuition tax credit and funding tied to performance and competition amongst schools. Lastly, we must keep the federal leviathan and the Department of Education out of the education business and return as much funding and power as possible back to the state of Arizona.
Immigration
First and foremost we must secure Arizona’s border. We owe it to our citizens to utilize EVERY means necessary to secure our border including utilization of the National Guard, which I will continue to be a part of while serving this district. I also support construction of a border wall not only across Arizona’s southern border but across the entire border of the southern United States.
Private Property – Public Lands
Property should be owned by the individual, not the government. I will fight for the return of the nearly seventy percent of the land in Arizona that is currently held by the federal government. Our country was founded on private property rights and it is my belief that we as Arizonans could do a much better job managing our forests and land than the federal bureaucracy does from Washington DC.[10]
