In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I currently serve as the Assistant Mayor of Springfield, Ohio, where I have worked to strengthen our community through local leadership, public safety, economic development, and responsible government. Professionally, I serve as the Development Manager for Glen Helen Nature Preserve, leading fundraising and community engagement efforts that support conservation and environmental education. I am also a small business owner, giving me firsthand experience with the challenges entrepreneurs face every day.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Political Science from Wittenberg University and my master’s degree in Public Policy and Leadership from The Ohio State University’s John Glenn College of Public Affairs.
After losing my daughter to epilepsy, I became an advocate for families navigating complex medical challenges. That experience reinforced my belief that public service is about listening, solving problems, and making government work better for the people it serves.
I am running for Congress because I believe Ohio deserves an independent voice that puts solutions ahead of party politics. My priorities include strengthening local communities, supporting first responders and veterans, protecting family farms, encouraging economic growth, improving government accountability, and ensuring taxpayer dollars are used responsibly. I believe our government works best when we listen first, work together, and always put people over politics.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
People Over Politics
I’m an Independent who believes solving problems is more important than partisan fighting. I’ll work with anyone who has a good idea and stand up to anyone when it’s the right thing to do.Strong Local Communities Build a Strong America
Washington has become disconnected from the needs of the American people. Decisions should empower cities, villages, townships, counties, schools, and local businesses. I’ll fight to bring resources back home, support first responders, strengthen infrastructure, and help communities thrive.Responsible Government That Delivers Results
Taxpayers deserve accountability, fiscal responsibility, and practical solutions. I’ll focus on growing the economy, supporting agriculture and small businesses, protecting public safety, and making government more transparent and effective.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
As an Assistant Mayor, I’ve seen firsthand how disconnected Washington has become from the everyday needs of Americans. Too often, local communities are expected to solve big challenges with limited resources while decisions are made hundreds of miles away by people who don’t understand what our communities are facing.
I’m passionate about empowering local communities because that’s where government has the greatest impact on people’s daily lives. I believe cities, villages, townships, counties, schools, first responders, and local organizations should have the tools and resources they need to succeed.
