In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I'm an attorney who has delivered results for Missourians, both in court and at the ballot box. I have protected fundamental freedoms at the Missouri Supreme Court, defended access to healthcare, and worked to ensure government serves the people.

For more than a decade, I have fought for Missourians from the Statehouse to the White House. In 2018, I helped pass domestic violence prevention legislation and was awarded by Joe Biden with the Courage Award for my work supporting survivors of domestic violence on college campuses.

As an attorney, I have worked at the Missouri Attorney General's Office, the St. Louis City Circuit Attorney's Office, and was recently named Lawyer of the Year for my work at the ACLU of Missouri to create and successfully defend the reproductive freedom amendment in court five times!

Raised by a public school teacher and a barber, I understand the importance of strong public schools, good-paying jobs, and thriving local businesses.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

As a constitutional lawyer, I will fight for our freedoms. I led in the fight to pass the right to reproductive in 2024, and will continue to be an advocate for accessible, affordable health care. For more than a decade, I have worked on statewide policy and advocacy. I will be ready to advocate for our community on day one. It's one of the reason why Missouri Democrat leaders, like Senator Tracy McCreery, Senator Stephen Webber, and Representative Jeff Hales are supporting me in this race. The people who fight every day for our schools, our workers, and our freedoms have made their choice in this race. I'm the only candidate in this race endorsed by the labor unions, the teachers union, our local democratic club, and reproductive rights organizations.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

The core issues my campaigns is focused on:

- Economic opportunity and affordable living

- Strong Public Schools for Every Child

- Quality, affordable healthcare for all

- Lower energy costs and protected local environment

- A government that works for the people
