Background

Timothy Egan graduated from Ramapo Regional High School. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland in 1987, a graduate degree from Southern NH University in 2016, and a certificate from Keene State University in 2021. His career experience includes working as an educator.[1]

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Tim is Part-Time Faculty at Vermont Sate University since 2014 currently teaching Business and Communications & Journalism at the Lyndon & Johnson campuses; and in the Cannabis Studies Certificate Program at the Castleton campus. From 2016-22 he was Co-Director of NVU’s incubator Without Walls, that supports small business development with experienced student labor. In 2022, he added the roles of AFT 7810 Part-Time Faculty Union Delegate and Castleton’s CSCP Internship Coordinator.

As a media consultant, he specializes in broadcast and web based video content services for education, entertainment, marketing and media affairs - practicing in New England, the NY Metropolitan area & Eastern Canada. In his spare time he received an M.S. in Marketing (’15) magna cum laude at SNHU.edu and lives in/enjoys the White Mountains of NH with his wife Betty & daughter Maggie.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Adult use cannabis where independent licenses work through the liquor commission as the regulator with insight from DHHS. 50% of net revenues are for public schools, community colleges, and state universities. Allow colleges and universities to do cannabis research health wellness industrial products as well as negative impacts. Support their effort to access federal funding from NIH, USDA & DOJ.Transfer Station's to create revenue generating venture selling dropped off construction/demo materials for repurposing housing construction. Builders are charged a reduced fee on materials that are dropped off in reliable shape because they can be sold.Increase the tax rate on current use land owners who are not residents of the state of New Hampshire. Use it to reimburse cities and towns pension funds. By taking a portion of the tax revenue from current use can, we create new revenue for the state that is not taxing the New Hampshire resident and increasing the value of our community.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Reducing property taxes while building state revenue; supporting public education; environmental protection; senior healthcare; cannabis legalization & advancing commuter rail.
