In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I want to maximize citizens individual rights and liberties while minimizing the power and scope of the government. I want to build up personal freedoms and limit state control over what the people can and can't do. I believe in truly free markets and letting small businesses operate with little government interference. I will seek to lower or eliminate as many taxes as possible so that the people have more money in their pockets. Government spending must be reduced, and we need less regulations and hurtles for North Carolina residents to get into business and be entrepreneurs. If you're a third party voter, independent, or a Republican/Democrat that is looking for ACTUAL change. I'm the candidate for you. It's time that we bring back true honestly and integrity to our state and district. Not just give it lip service. You deserve a representative that is there to come to reasonable and rational compromise on your behalf, and not just to tote a party line. Someone that truly believes in the Constitution, not just use it when it fits their needs, and ignores it when it doesn't. I'm here to offer you that choice. I look forward to the chance to get to know anyone that wants to have an open dialog or debate about anything. I hope to earn the support of the people by consistently doing the right thing. Not the easy thing.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Taxes

You know how to use your money better than the government does. If we're lucky, for every dollar that we provide the government in taxes, fifty cents of it goes to were they say. It it better in your pocket supporting the causes that you choose. Not what the government tells you is important. I want to push to lower or eliminate the state income tax, as well as increase transparency on how your tax dollars are used.Property Rights

I want to reform zoning laws and increase your property rights. Eminent domain abuse needs to be eliminated. We need to have more housing options, not less. When the average age of a 1st time home buyer is nearly 40, we have a problem. The good news is the free market can fix it if we get the government out of it's way.Help the local business climate

Cut unnecessary regulations on small businesses. I want to streamline the permitting process so that we can get businesses up and running so that there are more job opportunities for residents. I want to review all old regulations and cut the ones that are no longer necessary.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Practical reforms that remove barriers to our citizens. Barriers to working, building, starting a business, educating your kids, or making personal choices. I'd rather you decided what is best for you that a governing body.
