In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I'm a common sense Democrat committed to family, faith, and serving others. I live by a strict moral code and hold others accountable, and expect the same in return. I'm a natural leader and I pride myself on my listening and observing skills. Wisdom is tough to impart in 30 seconds and the more we use social media to determine our elected officials, the faster our Democracy crumbles.

I grew up on a farm and am passionate about gardening, I started and maintain a community garden in South Nashville. Teaching folks to grow their own food is very rewarding and I hope to inspire other communities to follow my lead.

I spent the first half of my life as a carpenter and I founded Carpenters Trusst LLC about 10 years ago. It was a successful construction company in Nashville where I focused on training the next generation of carpenters, especially young women. I closed the company down in preparation for the second half of my life as a public servant.

My hope is to bring trust and truth back into our great country and to make sure every American has the opportunity for a good life. I can make tomorrow a little better than today if I am given the opportunity to represent the 4th TN District in the US House of Representatives.

Love Y'all

Tim Lanier

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Affordable and sustainable housing can be achieved if the Federal Government will attack the problem at the source, the lack of skilled workers in the construction industry. My legislation (B4 Act) will do just that by investing in construction workforce development and training, strengthening the unions, and creating good Federal construction jobs. We tackle corruption through construction and improve the lives of everyone in the process.Women's rights. If Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. So by improving the lives of women, we'll improve the lives of everyone. We do that by making sure all personal freedoms are protected including: Reproductive rights, equal pay, voting rights, childcare costs, and a multitude of other issues women face today. Also we really need more women in the construction industry, efficiency and communication improves when women are involved and we need you ladies!Standing up to Authoritarians, foreign and domestic. We are the United States of America and we need to let every world leader know they cannot annex their neighbors on our watch. We must stand up to Russia and Putin specifically or communism will continue to spread and our allies are wondering if they'll be next.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

-Reducing the ICE budget and using that money for police, EMS personnel, and education.

-Removing the Social Security cap.

-Eliminate School Vouchers

-Affordable housing

-Creating jobs through the Federal Government (FDR & LBJ style).

-Strengthening Unions
