Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Tom Kucer has proudly called Hamilton Township, PA home for the past 23 years. A Union Sheet Metal Worker for more than 40 years, Tom knows what it means to work hard, solve problems, and build things from the ground up. He has spent decades, leaving his home before the crack of dawn, to commute from Pennsylvania to New York City, going wherever the work took him in order to provide for his family. Now, Tom is ready for his next job: taking that same dedication, grit, and working-class values to Harrisburg to fight for the families of Pennsylvania's 176th Legislative District. A graduate of National Labor College with a Bachelors Degree in Construction Management and Minored in Labor Relations

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Every Pennsylvanian deserves the opportunity to own or rent a home they can afford and earn a living wage from a single full-time job. Families shouldn't have to work multiple jobs just to make ends meet. Tom believes it's time to tackle the rising cost of living by supporting policies that make housing more affordable, strengthen wages, and expand economic opportunity. In Harrisburg, he will work to introduce and support legislation that eases the financial burden on working families and helps every Pennsylvanian build a more secure future.Affordable healthcare should be a basic right for every Pennsylvanian. No one should be denied needed medical care because they cannot afford insurance. Tom believes that access to quality healthcare is essential for strong families and healthy communities. In Harrisburg, he will work with healthcare professionals, hospitals, and community providers to expand access to care and lower costs for working families. Tom will support efforts to restore healthcare subsidies that were eliminated in 2026 and will advocate for innovative solutions that move Pennsylvania toward more affordable, accessible healthcare coverage for all residents.Strong communities are built through investment and opportunity. Tom will work to attract new businesses and long-term investments that create good-paying jobs in the 176th Legislative District. He will also support Department of Labor-accredited apprenticeship programs on publicly funded projects, giving high school graduates, trade school students, and college graduates the chance to "earn while they learn." Apprenticeships provide competitive wages, valuable skills, strong work ethics, and safer workplaces while helping employers reduce costs. By partnering with local trade and vocational schools, Tom will help build a skilled workforce and strengthen our local economy for generations to come.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Pennsylvania's 176th Legislative District is home to eight unique townships, each contributing to the character and beauty of Monroe County. From our family farms and forests to world-class destinations like Pocono Raceway, our district's natural resources are part of what makes our community special. As our region grows, development must be balanced with responsible land use that protects our farmland, wildlife, and open spaces. The Pennsylvania Constitution guarantees every citizen the right to clean air, pure water, and the preservation of our natural environment. In Harrisburg, Tom will fight to protect these constitutional rights while supporting responsible growth that benefits both today's families and future generations.
