In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
As the son of two public school teachers, growing up in a working class family taught me the importance of community, honesty, and hard work. These values drove me to pursue public office and have guided me throughout my time serving on the Agawam City Council.
Since joining the City Council in 2022, I’ve fought to reduce energy prices, improve government transparency, and enhance quality of life in our community. Now I’m running for State Representative to give working families a strong voice in our state legislature.
I'm running for state representative because we deserve an economy and a state government that work for all of us.
Too often, billionaires and big corporations are able to rig the economy in their favor, keeping wages down and costs high for everyday people. I'm fighting for change.
I'm fighting to bring real working class representation to our state legislature, to challenge corporate special interests, to create a fair economy for working class families, and to restore transparency and democratic values within our state government.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
A Fair Economy for Working Class Families:
Working class people are struggling in this economy, as costs are rising and wages are stagnant. I support leveling the playing field and creating a fairer economy by empowering workers to unionize and fight for fair wages, by ensuring the wealthy pay their fair share of taxes, by investing in public education and infrastructure, and by creating a single-payer healthcare system in Massachusetts.Government Transparency & Accountability:
I strongly believe in the values of transparency, accountability, and democracy. As a City Councilor, I passed legislation to require committee meetings to be recorded and publicly released. As State Representative, I will fight for reforms to make our State House more transparent.Freedom & Dignity for All:
As State Representative, I will always defend our rights and protect our freedoms. I support reproductive freedom and will work to expand access to reproductive healthcare. I am also a proud supporter of the LGBTQ community, and I will work to support equality and oppose discrimination.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
As the son of two Southwick-Tolland-Granville public school teachers, I hold an immense appreciation for the importance of our public schools. As a City Councilor, I supported the new Agawam High School project, and as our State Representative, I will continue working to support public education.
