Tom Bergerson is a Minnesota citizen seeking to restore balance to the state government
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Regardless of who has been responsible, fraud at any scale removing state taxpayer funds must be stopped and those responsible held to account.Minnesota government has taken steps that will dramatically increase costs such as electricity. Affordability must be restored by adopting balanced approaches to all issues. Small businesses have severely dropped in number in the last 10 years which has negative consequences for its citizens as one example. Unless balance is restored, these negative consequences will continue to be amplified. The capabilities of children in Minnesota have dropped significantly in the last 10 years. Education must be restored in a manner that supports basics and supports critical thinking.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
There are many important public policy issues that have great importance. Personally energy is quite an important issue. Energy is life and is the foundation of a successful society. Approaches must be balanced between affordability, reliability and environmental concerns which are always very important.
