In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I've never run for office before, but I've spent my life showing up for this community. I'm a mother of four adult children and a grandmother of three. My youngest son has Down Syndrome, and that experience led me to spend years volunteering with disabilities programs and in my kids' schools. I'm now retired after many years working for Jackson County government, where I saw firsthand how local decisions affect real families. That's the perspective I'll bring to the Missouri House.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Hard-working families in Independence deserve a representative who knows what their life looks like: seniors on a fixed income, families stretching every dollar at the grocery store and gas pump, people with disabilities who deserve services — not cuts — and parents who need affordable child care. I've lived that life, and I'll fight for it in Jefferson City.If elected, I will fight to make sure every family has access to fully funded public schools, no matter their zip code. I believe healthcare should be accessible to everyone, and I'll support policies that make everyday costs more affordable — from groceries to gas to child care. That includes childcare tax credits, so parents can go to work knowing their kids are cared for.The cost of groceries, gas, housing, and healthcare keeps climbing — and Missouri families are feeling it every single day. Tedi supports practical solutions that actually help: childcare subsidies and tax credits, housing assistance for first-time buyers, and removing the sales tax on food and medicine.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
