In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

After marrying a wonderful woman from Milford (Sarah), Ted Lauzen flew light attack helicopters in combat for the Marines, earned his MBA from Wharton and his JD from Penn Law, and co-founded an investment management firm called Grey Fox Wealth Advisors. Outside of work, he serves as the Treasurer of the Delaware YMCA (one of the state's largest nonprofit organizations), acts as a board member for the Delaware Prosperity Partnership, and enjoys driving his four young kids (Caroline, Jack, Emily, and William) between sports practices.

As an investment manager and the YMCA Treasurer, Ted helps neighbors across the state protect and invest hard-earned personal and organizational funds ... the exact same job as the State Treasurer. With a lifetime of demonstrated service and investment management experience, he can - from day one - lead practical and impactful financial programs, stand-up to Trump's devastating overreach, and protect state reserves and retirement funds for all Delawareans.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

As a combat veteran, an investment manager, and a father of four, I will work hard to expand access to financial literacy and support programs such as the Stand-by-Me program, the DE 529 plan, the EARNS program, and the ABLE plan. These programs can play an essential role in helping families save for college, prepare for retirement, and strengthen their long-term financial well-being.As an investment manager and small business owner, I am committed to protecting Delaware’s AAA credit rating and strengthening our state’s debt management practices. By maintaining strong fiscal discipline and modernizing our approach, Delaware can continue to borrow efficiently to invest in priorities like building schools, repairing roads, and protecting our environment. As the Treasurer of the Delaware YMCA and a member of the Delaware Prosperity Partnership, I am committed to strengthening investment oversight and transparency. By ensuring public funds are managed responsibly and used appropriately, the Office of the Treasurer can help reduce waste, stabilize reserves, and keep the public informed about how their money is being invested and protected.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Across a lifetime of demonstrated service and hard-earned financial expertise, I am personally passionate about creating opportunities for all Delawareans (regardless of zip code). As a father of four young children, the choices we make today will determine their future opportunities and their ability to support their family, friends, and community.

As State Treasurer, I will prioritize responsible fiscal management to ensure long-term financial stability, safeguard public funds, maintain our strong credit position, and ensure transparency and accountability. I will work hard to support policies that promote economic growth, create good-paying jobs, strengthen the skills of our workforce, and expand economic and social opportunities.
