Suzan DelBene was born in Selma, Alabama, in 1962.[1] She earned her bachelor's degree in biology from Reed College in 1983 and her master's degree in business administration from the University of Washington in 1990.[2][1] DelBene's previous work experience includes serving as the director of the Washington State Department of Revenue, worked as a consultant for Global Partnerships, director of marketing and business development for Microsoft and later as Corporate Vice President of the Mobile Communications Business for Microsoft. She was also CEO of Nimble Technology and was vice-president of Drugstore.com.[1][2][3]
