Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Property taxes are from local units of government and are suffocating us. Kansas has 105 counties, 286 school districts, 1,404 townships, 627 cities, fire districts, water districts, etc. and they all have taxing authority. We have clunky, outdated, functionally obsolescent government. We must consolidate local units of government and services that make sense. Kansas can't continue with this 1800's and 1900's form of government.Economic growth doesn't come from expanding government, but from creating a low tax state with a non-invasive regulatory environment that fosters private sector growth.
Kansas must have a low, stable taxing system. That stability will beget predictability for Kansas job creators, allowing them to invest in their business and employees for 5-20 years without fear of the taxing rules changing. It's about jobs, jobs, jobs. We need more taxpayers, not more and higher taxes. Our public school system is failing our children.
10th grade "low income" students have a 19% proficiency rate for math and a 25% proficiency rate for reading.
10th grade 'non-low income" students have a 45% proficiency rate for math and a 48% proficiency rate for reading. That is 100% not acceptable.
This didn't happen overnight. It is a decades long trend. Parents should have the right and the economic "oomph" to send their children to the school that best benefits the needs of their children.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
We must promote business growth and enact job creating policies to grow the Kansas economy
Our taxing structure at all levels of government must be reformed, starting with a DOGE style overhaul that uncovers fraud, waste and abuse. Move to a priority based budget system. Eliminate programs that no longer serve their original purpose..
We have to consolidate local units of government for efficiencies and to lower our property tax burden.
I am socially pro life and will continue to support policies that protects life from conception till natural death.
I will protect the 2nd amendment.
NEW JOBS .. NO NEW TAXES
