Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I'm a neighbor, a father of 2 kids attending public schools. A 47 year resident of Brooklyn, I love America, I served 6 years as a United States Marine. I served 27 years in the NYPD.

I served 10 years as a schools volunteer in 2 schools. I'm a small business owner, and a small homeowner.

I'm an immigrant, a real immigrant. You'll never hear me tell you some sad-sobbing story about 2 suitcases, being poor, working hard, etc. We all did that. My family came to build a life, and we did it. We are all builders of our community, and we all want to protect it. We can thrive together.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

My promise to everyone: I'm accessible! Call me, email me, text me, come visit me. I'm here! I'd be happy to sit with you and have coffee. (I love coffee).I'm not a politician. I'm not looking for a job. I'm here to fight for us, our community, our city, our state. I'm here to stop the madness that is turning New York into dystopia.I grew up in Bay Ridge and Bensonhurst. I've been here almost 5 decades. I know the neighborhood. I know what the police needs to effectively do their jobs. I know what the schools/ teachers/ students need to have a great education. I know the difficulties of small homeowners and small business owners.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

We're all thinking the same things. Public safety. no cash bail, wasteful spending, E-bike enforcement, illegal immigration, fair education, rising cost of living, health care, high taxes, congestion pricing, services for seniors, veterans, our needy.

We have to stop the madness before we can begin to repair our state.

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy's. An orphan, a humanitarian, a great businessman who believed in hard work.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Talk to the community! Be there for them. Take charge and represent them with integrity. Don't back down from challenges, face it!

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

I have a life full of experience as a cop, a father, a husband, a good neighbor, a boss, a shopkeeper, a homeowner, a schools volunteer, an immigrant, a US Marine, a schools volunteer (PTA President, Title 1 chair).

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

Ensure the concerns of the district are voiced and addressed. Protect the community, the city, the state. Ensure fiscal responsibility, ensure the right judges are a good fit for their area of responsibility.

What legacy would you like to leave?

A flourishing community, standing strong and thriving together.

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

Moon landing, 3

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

Buttoner, as in putting buttons on a shirt in a sweatshop.

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?

Nothing comes easy. We have to overcome our obstacles.

What do you believe is the ideal relationship between the governor and state legislature?

A governor needs to be effective in working with all parties of the legislature. A great bipartisan partnership will ensure that common goals are reached for the benefit of the state.

What do you perceive to be your state's greatest challenges over the next decade?

cost of living, loss of tax revenue, increasing health care costs.

Do you believe that it’s beneficial for state legislators to have previous experience in government or politics?

No, we need legislators to be in touch with reality.

Do you believe it’s beneficial to build relationships with other legislators? Please explain your answer.

Yes, we need legislators from both parties to share their views to work on common goals.

Are you interested in running for a different political office (for example, the U.S. Congress or governor) in the future?
