In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I have lived in Essex, Vermont for 25 years and am a dedicated small business owner, financial professional, and community leader. I am married to Tim Mack, and together we have raised three children — two adult sons who are active in real estate and business, and a young daughter who attends Christ the King School in Burlington. I have also been a foster mom to a half dozen children. Family, fiscal responsibility, and strong communities are at the core of my values.

Professionally, I bring extensive experience in business operations, finance, and strategic management. I previously built and sold a successful accounting practice that managed onshore and overseas bookkeeping teams. I also established back-office systems for my family’s trash hauling business, helping it grow before its sale.

Today, I lead Strategizer LLC, providing workflow consulting, app integrations, part-time CFO leadership, and interim bookkeeping coverage.

In the community, I serve as Treasurer of the Vermont Federation of Republican Women (VFRW) and have contributed to other boards, including the International Scottish Clan MacEwen. My campaign for the Vermont House focuses on pragmatic, common-sense solutions including sensible spending, lower taxes and property tax relief, affordable housing, supporting small businesses, protecting parental rights and education, and promoting election integrity — all grounded in fiscally responsible governance.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Pragmatic Fiscal Responsibility

Vt families & small businesses are struggling under some of the highest property taxes in the nation and years of unchecked spending. I will bring pragmatic leadership to the Vermont House to demand lower taxes, smarter budgeting, and meaningful property tax relief. Montpelier has too often prioritized big government over working families and seniors. My approach includes auditing state spending, eliminating waste, & ensuring every tax dollar delivers results. I understand the burden of rising assessments on Essex homeowners. I am committed to protecting families, supporting our local economy, & restoring affordability so our children can afford to stay in VtCentrist Solutions for Housing, Education & Small Business

We must cut red tape & streamline permitting to increase affordable housing while protecting our environment. In education, I will defend parental rights & support strong local schools focused on fundamentals. Small businesses are our economic backbone — I will reduce regulatory burdens so they can grow & create jobs. My pragmatic approach rejects extremes in favor of collaboration, data-driven decisions, & putting Essex families first. Whether supporting working parents, easing the tax burden on seniors, or empowering local businesses, I am dedicated to balanced governance that strengthens our communities.Common-Sense Leadership You Can Trust

Voters deserve transparent, accountable representatives focused on results. With 25+ years as a VT resident, business leader, & community volunteer, I offer leadership grounded in experience. My experience shows fiscal discipline & team-building skills. I am running for the VT House in Chittenden-24 to deliver integrity, respect for all voices, & a commitment to election integrity & parental rights. Families in Essex can trust I will listen, work across differences when possible, & always prioritize sensible spending, economic opportunity, & the long-term health of our state.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I am deeply passionate about fixing VT’s housing crisis through pragmatic solutions that reduce red tape. Excessive regulations have stalled projects & made it nearly impossible for builders to create multi-income housing. Families, young professionals, & seniors struggle with high rents & home prices while workforce shortages grow.

I support targeted reforms to streamline permitting, eliminate unnecessary delays & protects our environment. A statewide e-permitting system would cut duplication, enable real-time tracking & speed approvals for residential & mixed-income projects. Removing barriers will increase supply, stabilize prices, & support growth. I will fight for these practical changes for Chittenden-24 & all of VT
