In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am a public school teacher, coach, and community-focused problem-solver running for the Alabama State Senate because I believe people deserve honest, practical leadership. My work in education has given me a front-row seat to the challenges families, students, and communities face every day, and it has also shown me how much can change when people are willing to listen, work hard, and stay focused on results. I’m running to bring that same mindset to public service: less political theater, more accountability, and more attention to what actually helps people.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Alabama families deserve leaders who focus on real issues instead of distractions. I am running to fight for stronger public education, better support for students and teachers, and policies that help prepare young people for real opportunities in college, careers, and skilled trades.Government should be accountable to the people it serves. Taxpayers deserve transparency, honesty, and elected officials who are willing to answer tough questions. I believe public service should be about setting a high standard and producing results people can actually see in their communities. Our communities need practical leadership that understands everyday life. I am not running as a career politician. I am running as someone who has worked directly with families, students, and local communities, and I want to bring that real-world perspective to Montgomery to make government more responsive, more effective, and more grounded in common sense.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Education, workforce development, and government accountability are at the core of my campaign. As a teacher, I care deeply about improving student outcomes, supporting educators, and making sure schools have the tools they need to succeed. I am also passionate about preparing students for life after graduation through career tech and workforce pathways. Beyond education, I believe government should operate with transparency and responsibility, and that public policy should focus on solving problems that affect everyday families and communities.

I am running to bring practical problem-solving and transparency to Montgomery. Our state government should focus on improving schools, strengthening local economies, and ensuring that state policy works for families, teachers, and small businesses across District 16.As an educator and technology entrepreneur, I believe Alabama can build a stronger future by investing in education, workforce development, and innovation. Preparing students for modern careers and supporting responsible economic growth will help our communities thrive.I believe public service should be about accountability and common sense. After decades of the same leadership, our district deserves a representative who will listen to constituents, engage with the community, and work across differences to get results.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I am particularly passionate about strengthening public education, expanding economic opportunity, and supporting responsible community safety policies. As an educator, I believe that investing in teachers, modern classrooms, and career pathways is one of the most important things we can do for Alabama’s future.
