Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Position Statement: I believe we need education that is protective of children's hearts, minds and bodies, inline with the will of parents, and mindful of the resources provided by taxpayers.I support local decision-making believing local school districts, which includes parents and patrons, know best their communities and their children.I believe parents need to be watchful of the educational materials being used with their children.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I believe one of the most pressing educational issues in the state of Nebraska is the teacher and other school staff shortage. We need to find ways to recruit quality individuals to the teaching profession, and once hired, retain them.

I believe we need to improve the academic achievement of our children.

I oppose the teaching of Comprehensive Sex Education in our schools. I believe it sexualizes our children, confuses them, may lead them to make decisions they come to regret, and undermines parental decision-making.

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

I look up to my parents. My mother was one of the hardest-working people I know. She gardened, canned, raised and butchered chickens, sewed clothing for her five children, prepared delicious meals for her family, and kept a tidy house. My dad was, and still is, a kind-hearted, generous man who provided well for his family. He volunteered in our community in many ways, serving on numerous boards. Both of my parents were good role models.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

I detasseled corn during the summer beginning at the age of 12 until I turned 16. At the age of 16, I began working as a nurse's aide in retirement homes and continued doing so throughout college. Upon graduating from college I began my work as an educator for the next 35 years until retiring in 2018.
