What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

The first historical event that comes to memory was in 1979, the energy crisis. As a 13 year old, the most concerning memory about this era was that my father was a truck driver and this had a huge impact on his ability to work. Also, the nightly news was reporting that the Shah had came to power and made himself a dictator, contrary to those in the country that wanted a democracy.
