Shelly Abraham was born in New York, New York. He earned a bachelor's degree from Kennesaw State University in 2018. His career experience includes working as a mechanical engineer.[1]

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Shelly is the son of Indian immigrants and has lived in Georgia for 20 years. He is the byproduct of strong family values, quality public education and a community that urged him to reach his potential. As a mechanical engineer, he is solution oriented and understands that collaboration is required to solve the problems of our time. His mission is to create a Georgia that will empower everyday working people to achieve the American Dream.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

The American Dream is increasingly out of reach for new homeowners and renters alike. I support policies that will ease property tax burden on homeowners, regulates rent hikes by corporate landlords and makes it easier to build housing the community needs.Georgia has about 1.2 million people without access to healthcare. This often leads to preventable illness and death. I will support expanding medicaid but also push for a Georgia public option for healthcare. I will also push for more funding to mental health services.Artificial intelligence is the future of computing, no doubt about it. I will support legislation to regulate data center locations, water usage and power usage. These multinational corporations will not have access to unreasonable tax subsidies and energy prices. We must also protect local jobs.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Housing affordability, healthcare access, education, natural resource regulation.
