Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Sedrick Rowe is a first-generation organic farmer and agricultural innovator based in Albany, Georgia, where he operates a 30-acre organic farm. He grows organic peanuts, hemp, sunflowers, and watermelons. His work centers reimagining agriculture as a tool for community resilience, economic opportunity, and sustainable growth in the Digital Age. Sedrick has been featured in The New York Times, recognized by the USDA’s successful grant project Black Farmers Network, and highlighted by Atlanta Magazine for making history as one of the first farmers in South Georgia to grow organic hemp. In 2021, he was spotlighted in Wrangler’s Earth Month campaign for his innovative approach to modern farming. A member of the National Young Farmers Coalition, Sedrick has testified before a U.S. Senate Committee, advocating for policy reforms that support young farmers and positioning the next Farm Bill as a key opportunity to address systemic barriers in agriculture.
