Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Effective representation has to be active representation. Presenting as an obstacle to progress is only effective if things are already going well for everyone. There is no more important thing we as a state have in our jurisdiction than education. With an educated citizenry, we can only grow as a commonwealth. In the 81st District, we have a tremendous opportunity for growth so long as we can fuel the needs of today's workforce. In simpler words, broadband infrastructure in particular can ignite an area with real estate like ours.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Education

Rural Broadband

Removing restrictions on personal thought/action (IE, ending book bans, ending abortion bans)

Pushing legislation and legislators forward and doing the job of public servant to improve the lives of everyone in the Commonwealth.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

An elected official is a public servant. If you are paid a full-time wage to be an elected official, the people are paying you to make their lives better, and if that's not the question that's foremost on your mind at all times, you should not be an elected offical.

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

I can reach the end of a train of thought faster than most, evaluting solutions to determine the best ones. I have often argued against my own positions in municipal meetings in an attempt to shoot them down and work through issues to make sure they were able to withstand scrutiny.

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

First national thing: the Challenger explosion. First local thing (I was born and raised in Baltimore): the Colts leaving for Indianapolis.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

I was a busboy at Denny's; I lasted for most of my senior year in high school before I needed to leave the job to focus on my classwork.

What was the last song that got stuck in your head?

"Could Have Been Me" by The Struts.

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?

Keeping the thoughts inside my head. I often think out loud, and sometimes the train of thought makes stops at places that can confuse others.

Do you believe that it’s beneficial for state legislators to have previous experience in government or politics?

Yes. Knowing the rules of the game (or at least the general shape of the system) is a worthwhile experience to have on the CV.

Do you believe it’s beneficial to build relationships with other legislators? Please explain your answer.

Absolutely. In the end, as much as we seek to build systems of laws, rules, regulations, and offices, everything is still made up of people, and we're social creatures.

What organizations or individuals have endorsed your campaign?

Progress Centre, Center for Freethought Equality PAC, Keystone Equality

What committees interest you?

Agriculture & Rural Affairs

Education

Human Services

Local Government
