In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am a writer, inventor, mentor, and startup founder. I've started three businesses and one nonprofit, all successful. Much more about me on my site: scottyates.com

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Fix Daylight Saving Time, and show that we can get bipartisan work done that makes lives better for citizens.Protect Colorado's WaterHuman-centered economic development. Stuff like rural broadband.

Daylight Saving Time is my signature issue. Why?

It's broken. It kills people. It costs real money. And yet the government keeps doing it.

I have no interest in political theater, name calling, etc. I am a business founder. I just like to solve problems, and fix what's fixable. Daylight Saving Time is fixable, and I'm happy to do that.

What was the last song that got stuck in your head?

Steal My Sunshine

Tell us your favorite joke.

What did the fish say when he ran into a concrete wall?
