Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I am married to my husband, Mike and a mom of 4. I am a Realtor in the Upstate of SC. Serving my community is my passion whether at the local pregnancy center or the soup kitchen or my local neighbors.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Easing tax burdens on District 34 and ensuring fiscal responsibility on the state level.Shoring up personal property rights as enshrined in the 14th Amendment. We can do this by making sure squatters have no rights. The rights belong to the owners.As a Christian, the subject of life is very important. I believe life is precious. We need to let women know they aren’t alone and that they are loved and supported in choosing life for their babies.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
As a Realtor, personal property rights are of vital importance. As a Christian, I am pro-life and pro-mother. As a mom on a budget, fiscal responsibility is essential especially in Columbia.
Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?
My mother in law is a wonderful human being who loves everyone without limit. She is kind, gentle, and loves serving others in her church and community. If I could be half the woman she is, that would be amazing!
What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
Honesty and integrity.

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?
I am unafraid of doing what is right no matter how much heat I take from others.
What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?
To listen to the constituents in my district
What legacy would you like to leave?
We, as parents, have tried to instill in our children a set of core values of loving God and loving your neighbor as yourself. If we do those 2 things and do them well, District 34, SC, the US, and the world would be a better place.
What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?
Reagan Mondale election is the 1st I remember. I was 10 years old.
What was your very first job? How long did you have it?
Cashier at Bi-Lo in Easley in high school. By my senior year, I was a customer service supervisor.
What is your favorite book? Why?
The Bible is my favorite and most read book. “One Second After” by William Forstchen

What was the last song that got stuck in your head?

What do you believe is the ideal relationship between the governor and state legislature?
The executive and legislative branches should work together in their constitutional capacities to best serve South Carolinians and preserve our values and our state.
What do you perceive to be your state's greatest challenges over the next decade?
Managing all of the infrastructure issues that the influx of new residents need to make our state thrive.
Do you believe that it’s beneficial for state legislators to have previous experience in government or politics?
No. Time was when legislators were farmers and business owners not professional politicians who are so far from their constituents.
Do you believe it’s beneficial to build relationships with other legislators? Please explain your answer.
Yes. Nothing can get done without cooperation. But I won’t compromise my integrity to do so.

There is a huge need for transparency and fiscal responsibility at the state house. We need to hold the government accountable for the decisions they make and how they spend money.
