In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I was born and raised in Batavia, NY. I am a blue collar worker and a member of the working class since I was 17. I know what it means to stretch a dollar and struggle to pay my bills.
I am running for New York State Assembly because rural New York deserves representation focused on the everyday realities of working people.
Western New York deserves fresh representation, and not career and legacy politicians.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Working class people and rural voices need a seat at the table in Albany. I will fight for and support legislation that benefits everyone not just the highest earners. The way the government should be.Working a full-time job should allow you to be able to purchase basic necessities. People shouldn't have to decide between eating or paying the electric bill. I will fight for and support legislation that makes life more affordable.Ordinary residents shouldn't bear the cost of major developments, such as data centers. I will demand accountability from the government and powerful interests. Corporations should not get subsidies and should have to pay their fair share of taxes and cost of development. They should not force the bill onto local taxpayers, especially in cases where there is strong community opposition to the project.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I am passionate about affordability and economic security. Making everyday life affordable including healthcare, housing, and utility costs.
I am passionate about worker's rights, stronger labor protections, and a tax system that large corporations and the very wealthy pay more equally into.
I am passionate about government accountability, particularly around transparency, ethics, and making elected officials more responsive to constituents.
