In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I'm a mom, attorney, and PTO secretary running for the Kansas House because I believe Johnson County deserves practical, thoughtful leadership focused on solving problems—not scoring political points.

My family moved to Johnson County because of the Blue Valley schools, and we've built our lives here. Through my work, volunteer service, and involvement in our schools, I've seen firsthand what makes this community special: engaged families, dedicated educators, thriving businesses, and neighbors who care about one another.

As an attorney, I've learned to analyze complex issues, listen to different perspectives, and find common ground. Those are the same skills I'll bring to the Legislature. I believe good policy comes from listening to the people it affects, weighing the facts, and working collaboratively to find practical solutions.

My priorities include strengthening public education, supporting workforce development, growing Kansas' economy, improving affordability for families, and ensuring older adults have access to the care and services they deserve. I also believe in transparent, accountable government that respects taxpayers while investing in the services that make our communities strong.

I'm running because I want to help preserve what makes Johnson County such a great place to live and ensure Kansas remains a state where families, businesses, and future generations can thrive.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Strong public schools are the foundation of strong communities and a strong economy. Every Kansas student deserves access to a high-quality education, regardless of their ZIP code. I support a stable, transparent school finance system, fully funding special education, recruiting and retaining excellent teachers, and expanding career and technical education so students are prepared for college, the workforce, or military service. Investing in public education is an investment in our future workforce, attracts families and businesses to Kansas, and helps ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.Growing a Strong Local Economy: I support policies that attract and retain high-quality jobs, encourage entrepreneurship, and strengthen Kansas’ competitiveness. That includes reducing barriers for small businesses and startups, fostering innovation, and ensuring a fair, predictable business climate. I will prioritize investment in workforce development, including career and technical education, apprenticeships, and training programs so employers can find skilled workers. I also support modern infrastructure- roads, bridges, broadband, and utilities- to drive long-term growth. By aligning education, workforce, and economic development, we can expand opportunity across Kansas communities while maintaining fiscal responsibility and community.Advocating for a fair and balanced tax system that provides meaningful relief to working and middle-class families while ensuring Kansas has the resources needed to fully fund core priorities like public education, public safety, and essential services. I support responsible budgeting that keeps taxes competitive and predictable so families and businesses can plan for the future. At the same time, we must make sure our state invests wisely in the schools, infrastructure, and local services that strengthen our communities and drive long-term economic growth. A strong tax policy should be simple, transparent, and focused on fairness, stability, and opportunity for all Kansans.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I’m passionate about the areas of public policy that directly shape families’ daily lives and long-term opportunity in Kansas.

I care deeply about strong public education because it is the foundation for both individual success and a strong workforce. That includes supporting teachers, ensuring fair and adequate school funding and keeping our schools strong in communities like Johnson County.

Economic opportunity and a strong local economy - supporting policies that help small businesses grow, attract good-paying jobs, and make Kansas competitive while keeping communities affordable for families.

Finally, responsible, balanced budgeting and tax policy that provides relief to working families while sustaining the services Kansans rely on.
