Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
My name is Samantha Rae Tanner-Lester. I am 23 years old and hail from Clay County, WV. I am a high school graduate of Calhoun Middle-High School, and will be graduating May of 2026 from Glenville State University with my Bachelors in Criminal Justice. District 62 is important to me because of how I have my roots dug into each of those counties as mentioned above. I have a passion for taking care of others, and what better way to do that than through serving the communities in a representative way.

I am focused on solutions over rhetoric, delivering measurable results instead of excuses or delays.Committed to accountability and transparency, ensuring government works efficiently and responsibly.Dedication to practical, people-first policies that improve everyday life for working families and local communities by believing in leadership that should address problems head-on, not shift blame or avoid action.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Government transparency & accountability, access to services for rural and underserved communities, public safety & community well-being, cost of living & job opportunities, and much more.
