Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Ryan Darling hails from Missoula, Montana, where he went to local elementary schools and Hellgate High School. He studied Economics with a minor in Business Management at the University of Arizona. Ryan’s passion for aviation led him to earn his commercial pilot’s license at Cochise College in Tucson, Arizona. He worked in his father’s company before starting his own business and spent a decade as an FAA Licensed Flight Instructor.

As a “Girl Dad” to two daughters, Ryan is motivated by their experiences to run for the Montana Legislature. He aims to address the challenges in Montana’s education system, advocating for parental involvement, innovative educational options, and expanded trades and apprenticeships.

Ryan owns Verify 3D LLC, with over 20 years of experience in 3D laser scanning, 3DCAD, and BIM modeling. His company serves a wide range of industries, including architecture, engineering, mining, and more. His services extend to various heavy industries around, such as oil and gas, power generation, and shipbuilding.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

High property taxes drive up rental rates and drive retired people from their homes. “Market value” property taxes on unsold real estate is theft.Parents and their children deserve tailored premium educational choices, well paid quality teachers, trades programs and apprenticeships.Sensible local land management, and public recreational access is critical to Montana’s wellbeing.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

My primary passions are reducing all taxes and increasing the quality of our education system.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

What legacy would you like to leave?

I would like to leave a better education system for Montana's future generations.
