Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

My life has been devoted to service from the fifteen years that I spent on active duty in the US Air Force to the nearly three decades that I have spent in Ogden caring for families as an OB/GYN medical doctor. It was that call to service that made me respond with a willingness to step up and run in a special election following the sudden death of Rep Lou Shurtliff. As a member of Utah's citizen legislature for the past two sessions, I have brought many of the skills from my professional career in the military and medicine. This includes critical thinking, analysis and accomplishing the mission at hand.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Healthy Families: Improve health care access, funding for public education, eliminate state sales tax on groceries, and foster affordable childcare.Healthy Communities: Support our educators, promote attainable housing, honor our veterans, and maintain our election integrity.Healthy Environment: Advocate for clean air, clean water, and clean energy, ensure smart growth, and preserve the Great Salt Lake.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I am passionate about promoting policies that support better mental and physical health for all Utahns, including access to care and affordability. I am passionate about equal rights for all member of my community. I strongly support policies that promote stewardship of the environment in our state for the benefit of current Utahns and the generations that follow.
