In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Affordable Housing, Fair Taxes, Protecting our public lands, and Fair Wages. We need a government that works for the people, not the politicians. Personal interests have run Utah politics for too long. We need accountability, restored trust, and doing what's right for Utah. It's time for a change at the top.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Affordable Housing - Developers have built what's profitable, not what's affordable. Without some mandates, the solution will be out of reach. We don't have a supply problem. There are 6 homes available for every 1 buyer. What we have is an affordability issue and natural economics is not working to bring prices to affordable levels. There are some common sense solutions and it starts by leveling the playing field for owner occupants.Fair Taxes - Most of us feel that the only people paying taxes are the people that can't afford it. We continue to see tax cuts for the wealthy because they have controlled politicians with money. Our tax code needs to change so that it works for everyone, not just the wealthy. The super-majority in our state promotes the fact that they have cut income taxes for 6 years in a row. That has cut $1.4B from the state annual revenue and disproportionately benefits the wealthiest among us. These cuts are increasing property taxes to cover the costs of necessary state programs. We need a fair tax code and it starts at the state level.Protect our Public Lands - Our state senators are auctioning off our public lands to the highest bidder. In the meantime, our lake is drying up (toxic dust we breath, endangered species found nowhere else on earth losing habitat, and destroying the industry that depend on the lake) and our leaders are pushing AI data centers for personal profit. Those lands belong to our kids and grandkids, not outsider billionaires. We need our leaders to do what's right for Utah.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Housing, Finance, Public Lands.

What organizations or individuals have endorsed your campaign?

Operating Engineers Local 3, Women's Democratic Club of Utah, Center for Freethought and Equality, Platform America, Salt Lake County Stonewall Caucus, Utah Democratic Business Caucus
