Campaign websiteOwen's campaign website stated the following:Support our Families6 Week Paid Maternity Leave: If we truly are pro-family, then we should create the economic infrastructure to support having kids. To avoid the oncoming demographic crisis, we need to help our young people to start families.Attainable Housing: The white-picket fence home is now out of reach for most Utahns. Let’s solve this with supply-side solutions like common sense zoning reform enabling multi-family homes and accessory dwelling units.Stop Career PoliticiansBan on Congressional Stock Trading: Federally elected officials are exploiting positions of public trust to amass private wealth. Professionals in law, finance, and consulting are restricted from trading individual stocks. Why are those who make laws shaping these very industries without the same rules? This must stop.Term Limits: Career politicians serve themselves, rarely the public good. Representatives should serve 6 terms or fewer and Senators should serve 3 terms or fewer.Age Limit of 70 for Federal Office: We have mandatory retirement across numerous professions: commercial pilots at 65, admirals and generals at age 64, federal law enforcement at 60, and air traffic controllers at 56. This is because these jobs are too important and demanding to risk impaired cognition. Lawmaking is no exception, yet 20% of Congress is over the age of 70. Individuals should not be eligible for federal office after age 70 but should continue to build businesses and serve in their communities if they wish.Defend our StudentsRequire age verification of 16+ for social media: Social media harms kids by exposing them to addiction, cyberbullying, anxiety, depression, online predators, and digital footprints that can’t be erased. We don’t allow our children on our roadways unsupervised until age 16. Why would we expose them to dangerous cyberways any earlier? Let’s let kids be kids.Remove smartphones from K-12 schools: Educating our kids is the greatest investment we make. Our schools are too important to be distracted, degraded, and (if we do nothing) destroyed by smartphones. Let’s help students study, not scroll.— Riley Owen's campaign website (April 9, 2026)Note: This text is quoted verbatim from the original source.
