What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I am THE education candidate in this race. Our greatest tax obligation are our schools, but citizens are not getting the full return on investment for those tax dollars. The voucher program in the State of Ohio subsidizes schools that hold NO accountability to taxpayers or the communities where those students come from.
In addition, I want to change the fact that Ohio is known as one of the most corrupt states in the nation. Accountability for tax dollars and election integrity are at an all time low. I want to change how lawmakers manipulate maps and bring legislators back to the negotiating table so ALL of Ohio's residents benefit from the decisions coming out of Columbus.

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I enter the race with a lifelong commitment to public service and a deep understanding of the issues facing Ohio families. I will retire this spring after 33 years as a high school English and Business teacher, school counselor and athletic coach.
As I prepare to transition from the classroom to the next chapter of my life, I am eager to bring my three decades of experience in education and my leadership on City Council to the Statehouse. I have spent my career listening to students and families; now, I want to be their voice in Columbus.
As President of the Perrysburg City Council, I have been instrumental in navigating local governance, fostering economic growth, and maintaining the high quality of life that residents expect. My dual background in education and local government makes me a unique advocate for school funding, workforce development, and local government autonomy.
The 75th District deserves a representative who understands that our schools and our local economies are the backbone of our community.

The Ohio Legislature has taken direct aim on our public schools. Our public schools represent our biggest tax investment and those funds are being redirected to private and for profit schools that have no oversight from the taxpayers. The Fair School Funding plan must be FULLY implemented and the voucher system needs to be significantly restricted if not eliminated completely. Ohio's voucher program has diverted hundreds of millions of public dollars away from public schools, and overwhelmingly not to low-income families who need them most. Data shows that nearly 90% of Ohio voucher program participants are not low-income, making it a taxpayer-funded subsidy for private schools for the wealthy.During the 2021 redistricting cycle, Ohio politicians gerrymandered voting districts behind closed doors and denied voters fair representation. The Ohio Supreme Court ruled five times that the state legislative maps drawn by politicians were unconstitutional and struck down the state's congressional maps twice: yet politicians continued to produce gerrymandered maps anyway, demonstrating that Ohio's current redistricting system is fundamentally broken. I support a permanent, independent redistricting commission with binding authority to draw fair maps free from partisan manipulation. I will fight to enshrine fair district requirements in the Ohio Constitution so future politicians cannot simply ignore court rulings.Ohio House Bill 6 was sold to the public as clean energy legislation. In reality, it was a $1.3 billion bailout for two uncompetitive power plants, baked into ratepayer utility bills, secured through over $60 million in bribes to state officials. The scandal's roots run deep, implicating lobbyists, dark money, and utility companies that placed their profits above Ohio families.
I will demand full accountability for the HB 6 scandal and support a Department of Justice investigation into all connected parties. We will repeal any remaining ratepayer subsidies that flow from the HB 6 era. Finally, Ohio will work to establish renewable energy sources that help us to become less dependent on foreign markets and influences.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Education, agriculture, energy, healthcare, childcare.
