In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
As a Cherokee Native American running to represent District 97 in the Kansas legislature, my roots in Wichita run deep; my grandfather carved and painted the iconic totem pole standing in front of the Mid-America All-Indian Museum. I am happily married to a disabled Navy veteran who is a trans woman, like myself. My professional journey spans a diverse range of industries, including roles as a para-educator, phlebotomist, EKG monitor tech, and search engine optimization (SEO) specialist. Outside of my career, the performing arts are a lifelong passion. I took acting lessons from local theatre legend Mary Jane Teall, have been in stage performances throughout my life, and currently bring energy and connection to audiences as a stand-up comedian. I am ready to bring this unique blend of healthcare, education, tech experience, and deep community pride to Topeka to effectively advocate for our neighborhood.
