In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I’m a mom of four, small business owner since 2007, and three-term Winnebago County Board Supervisor. I’m an FAA-certified drone pilot, member of the Winnebago County Health & Human Services Board, East Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission appointee, former NWTC Academic Advisor, Valley Home Schoolers Board Member, and Hart Park Neighborhood Group Admin.
My experience ranges from raising four boys and managing household and business budgets to creating jobs, working in education, serving in local government, and organizing within my community. I’ve worked on issues involving taxes, housing, infrastructure, public safety, government transparency, and human services.
Most importantly, I’m accustomed to listening to people, asking questions, finding solutions, and doing the work.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Affordability: First, I want to address the everyday costs squeezing our community. I support eliminating Wisconsin’s minimum markup requirement on gasoline, carefully reviewing state spending, scrutinizing utility increases, and finding ways to keep more money in taxpayers’ pockets.Responsible Development: Second, Wisconsin needs responsible development. I don’t support massive data centers that leave our community carrying the costs. I don’t support irresponsible development that gets tax breaks while taxpayers get the bill. I will push for transparency and safeguards addressing electricity, water, infrastructure, environmental impacts, and who ultimately pays the costs.Housing and Infrastructure: Third, I want to expand housing choices and strengthen local infrastructure. That means exploring ideas like Heritage Homes, removing unnecessary barriers to homeownership, and getting more state dollars back into our communities for roads, sidewalks, and infrastructure instead of continually shifting those costs onto local property taxpayers.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I’m passionate about public policy that has a direct impact on everyday life. That includes affordability and property taxes, housing and homeownership, responsible development, government transparency, infrastructure, education, public safety, and protecting our natural resources.
I’m especially interested in policies where state government intersects with local communities, whether that’s utility costs, data center development, housing regulations, roads and sidewalks, or unfunded mandates. I believe good public policy starts by asking practical questions:
