Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Phoebe Tucker is a lifelong Ludlow resident and third-generation Vermonter with deep ties to both her local and statewide community. She is passionate about supporting the lives of working-class Vermonters by increasing access to affordable healthcare, food, and housing, improving the public education system and strategizing to lessen subsequent tax burdens on those who cannot afford it. She is committed to reducing the partisan tug-of-war to work more effectively against the issues we are all facing together.

As your future State Representative, Phoebe is dedicated to providing clear and intentional facilitation between what is happening in our local communities and what is happening at the state level. She views this position as one of stewardship - holding true to her core values of social justice, equity, and compassion - while ensuring her advocacy accurately represents the majority of people in our communities for whom she is a voice.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Improve daily quality of life for working-class Vermonters through addressing the affordability crisis, and increasing access to affordable healthcare, food, and housing.Improve the public education system and strategize to lessen subsequent tax burdens on those who cannot afford it.Support the partial repeal of Act 181. Press pause in order to develop a more community led, incentive-based model vs. a penalizing one. Find solutions that protect Vermont’s ecosystems without creating additional barriers for year-round residents with limited means.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Human rights and services, social justice, climate change and environmental resiliency, healthcare, education, and economics.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Diplomacy, emotional intelligence, empathy, humility, efficiency, and compassion.

What legacy would you like to leave?

One that was able to strategically bridge between parties and facilitate people working together on issues despite party lines.
