As County Clerk overseeing a $519,000 budget, Peggy reduced the need for election workers by 30%, and operated under budget every year. She returned over $133,000 tax dollars to the general fund while significantly increasing operation efficiency.

Peggy and her husband Dean have raised four boys, Chris (21), Andrew (19), Austin (16), and Michael (10). They are members of the St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church. When elected, Peggy will work hard to protect the sanctity of life.

Peggy Mayfield is a NRA Endowment Member. She is a State Skeet Champion, certified rifle and shotgun instructor, and hunter. She is also the coach of a youth clay target program.
Experienced, Proven Leader
As Executive Board Member of the Association of Clerks of Circuit Courts of Indiana, Peggy has lobbied for legislation to expand voter access through vote centers, while regularly testifying before the legislature against laws to unfairly restrict voting rights. Peggy has also been appointed to several state commissions related to voter registration and the judiciary.
Business Woman and Job Creator
Politicians don't create jobs, entrepreneurs do. Peggy and her husband Dean own Mayfield Insurance, INC, a 91-year-old family-owned company that employs a staff of 12. She will use her experience as a job creator and county reformer to hold the line on government spending and improve government services.[11]
