In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am married with two daughters and three Grandchildren. I believe in God, Family and The Constitution. I am a veterinarian with private practice ownership and experience for 16 years. I also have 14 years experience in the Public Sector as the Assistant State Veterinarian and State Veterinarian with the WI Department of Agriculture. For the past 8 years, I have managed and developed private medical clinics where we don't take insurance and allow Doctors to just take care of patients. I am also a small business owner. I have a lifetime of experience managing people and budgets. I believe the government has lost its ability to understand that government has no money of its own without first taking it from a hardworking taxpayer. I plan to bring an experienced voice of reason to the Wisconsin Assembly.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Schools need to teach and get results. They need to focus on reading, math and writing. We need to reduce non-classroom staff in our schools and give teachers the resources to succeed and demand results. This includes eliminating distractions in our schools like men in women's sports, locker rooms and bathrooms.Wisconsin needs safe communities, strong neighborhoods. I will support law enforcement, enforce our laws, and protect every neighborhood so families can feel secure at home.Wisconsin needs strong infrastructure. I will advocate for good roads and bridges to provide safe travel and to support commerce. As part of this plan, I will work to reduce nonessential spending in the state to eliminate the structural debt and pay cash for these infrastructure projects.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Wisconsin spending is out of control. The state biennial budget increased $33 billion over the last 7 years. This is approximately $500 per month to the average taxpayer. Utilities increased over $2 billion over the same time period, essentially another tax on citizens. We need to reduce government regulation, eliminate government programs that are not defined in our constitution and let the private sector prosper. The government has no resources without first taking it from hardworking taxpayers. Take care of public schools, law enforcement and infrastructure and get out of the business of taking care of everything else.
