Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
Hi, I’m Pamela Renee Wilson. I was born in Utah and moved to Twin Falls at age 12. After high school, I attended cosmetology school and began my career as a stylist. In 1980, I moved to Boise and worked at a local salon for 11 years.
In 1990 I joined the National ski patrol at Bogus Basin where I served as a volunteer until 2004
Where I performed emergency medical care working with the Patrol.

In 1991, I proudly opened my own salon in Boise’s 8th Street Marketplace, where I successfully operated my business until 2003. After selling the salon, my husband and I embraced retirement and spent
As a small business owner for over 30 years in Idaho until 2005, I managed my business and a team. As a stylist and salon owner, I spent decades listening to the stories and concerns of my clients. District 20 needs representatives that listen to their concerns. Have you ever met a politician that listens as well as a hair stylist? I intend to be that listener. I volunteered with Bogus Basin Ski Patrol for 14 years. I learned emergency medical care. This experience prepared me to be an medical advocate. I later advocated for family members and learned a lot about Medicare and Medicaid. I will use my skills as an advocate to represent the people of District 20.
Your voice matters, and so do the issues shaping our community. That's why I'm hitting the ground running on the things that matter most to Idaho families:
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Affordability
Housing prices and property taxes are skyrocketing, pricing people out of their homes. If elected, I will advocate for targeted property tax relief—particularly for seniors and working families. I am also committed to ensuring state funds are used responsibly to invest in essential infrastructure, like roads and utilities, while pushing for transparency and accountability in how every tax dollar is spent.Education
Idaho currently ranks 50th in the nation for per-pupil spending. Our teachers are underpaid and our classrooms are overcrowded. I will work to increase investment in public education, ensuring funding reaches the classroom rather than getting lost in bureaucracy. This includes improving teacher pay to retain our best educators and providing fast-growing areas with the facilities they need so every child has access to a quality education.Healthcare
We must lead with compassion. Idaho has lost 43% of its OB/GYN doctors due to the criminalization of healthcare, leaving rural residents with long commutes and struggling hospitals. When elected, I will work to restore and protect the Medicaid and Medicare funding that so many families rely on. Our community members with special needs and their caregivers deserve a system that supports them rather than de-funding the programs they depend on.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Public Lands
Access to hiking, camping, hunting, and fishing is central to our way of life. My husband Richard and I have seen how public lands are privatized in other States
