Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I am Ola Hawatmeh, a business owner, designer, philanthropist, and conservative activist running for Congress in Florida’s 19th District. Born to Christian immigrants from Jordan, I built my companies from the ground up and led charitable initiatives supporting veterans, children with cancer, and local communities. I have served as a Senior Policy Advisor in Washington, D.C., helping advance legislation and address constituent concerns. I am passionate about promoting economic opportunity, securing our borders, supporting families and veterans, and preserving the values that strengthen our communities and nation.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
I am personally passionate about securing our borders and upholding national sovereignty through the enforcement of immigration laws, strong border security, and policies that protect American workers, families, and communities.I am deeply committed to expanding economic opportunity by supporting small businesses, lowering the cost of living, reducing taxes and unnecessary regulations, and reforming insurance policies to help families afford housing and everyday expenses.I support congressional term limits as a way to reduce careerism in Washington, promote accountability, and ensure elected officials remain focused on serving their constituents rather than entrenched political interests.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I am personally passionate about improving access to affordable, high-quality healthcare by reducing costs, increasing transparency, and expanding patient choice. Next, securing the nation’s borders through the enforcement of immigration laws that protect public safety, national sovereignty, and American workers. Lastly, addressing the national debt by promoting fiscal responsibility, limiting wasteful government spending, and safeguarding future generations from unsustainable financial burdens.
Campaign websiteHawatmeh's campaign website stated the following:Real Experience, Real ResultsOla has seen how Washington fails working people, and she is running to make sure Southwest Florida does not get ignored. She has worked in Washington and learned where the delays happen, where the excuses come from, and how to force action when agencies drag their feet. She will use that knowledge to fight harder, move faster, and deliver tangible results for families.Ola will focus on outcomes that matter in daily life, including quicker disaster response, stronger coordination with local leaders, and funding that reaches projects on the ground instead of getting stuck in bureaucracy. She will push back on wasteful spending and politically driven priorities, and she will treat your taxpayer dollars with respect. She is running to be a conservative fighter who gets things done for FL-19. Ola will stay focused on Florida first, hold Washington accountable, and keep the mission simple: deliver for Southwest Florida and protect taxpayers.Bring Federal Dollars HomeSouthwest Florida pays millions in taxes, and we deserve to get our fair share back in the form of real infrastructure and real protection. Ola will go after every available federal funding stream that can help FL-19, with a focus on water quality, stormwater systems, and resilient infrastructure that keeps communities safe and property values protected. She will aggressively pursue resources through programs like IIJA, WIFIA, and SRF to support clean water projects, wastewater and sewer upgrades, drainage improvements, and long-term storm protection. Ola will also demand transparency and accountability so federal dollars do not get stuck in bureaucracy or diverted into political pet projects.Florida families need a representative who knows how to move money from federal programs into local projects without excuses. Ola will make the case, do the paperwork, apply pressure where it is needed, and keep pushing until the funding lands where it belongs.Protect Southwest FloridaProtecting Southwest Florida means keeping our communities safe, keeping our economy strong, and making sure government does its job before and after disaster strikes. Ola will fight for stronger storm protection, better drainage, and resilient infrastructure that reduces flooding and protects homes, small businesses, and critical roads across the district. She will also take on the threats Washington refuses to face. Ola will back President Trump’s border security agenda, support the wall, and demand enforcement that stops illegal immigration, cartel trafficking, and fentanyl from pouring into our country and into Florida communities.Ola will defend the constitutional rights that make Florida free. She will stand firm for the Second Amendment, protect free speech, and fight against federal overreach that targets law-abiding citizens. Protecting Southwest Florida means protecting families on the ground and protecting the rights that allow them to live, work, and raise their kids without interference.Stand for Our CommunitiesOla has a long record of direct service, philanthropy, and community involvement, and she has helped real people through real hardship. Through her charitable work, she has supported veterans, families, children battling cancer, and nonprofits that serve communities across the country. She has done the work personally and understands what it means to step up when someone needs help.In Congress, she will stand up for public safety, support law enforcement, protect Second Amendment rights, and defend the Judeo-Christian values that hold communities together. She will fight to stop the far-left agenda that weakens families, attacks parental rights, and pushes ideology into every part of daily life.Ola is running to represent the people who work, raise families, build businesses, and love this country. She will be present, accessible, and relentless in standing up for Southwest Florida.— Ola Hawatmeh's campaign website (June 23, 2026)Note: This text is quoted verbatim from the original source.
