Campaign websiteWillett's campaign website stated the following:Nathan's Proven Conservative RecordNathan hasn't just promised to fight — he already has. Here's what he's delivered for North Missouri.PRO-TRUMPThe only candidate to caucus for Trump in the 2024 election.Fought for the Missouri First Map at the local level.Supported ICE deportation and voted against woke legislation that tried to stop the ICE detention center in Kansas City.PRO-LIFESecured Northland's first pro-life alternative to abandonment — the Safe Haven Baby Box — and wants to expand them to all 50 states.Voted down every city budget because they include funding for abortions.Voted against legislation that would have paid for city employees to travel across state lines to get an abortion.PRO-FAMILYAfter women and children were harassed in Kansas City's airport, Nathan fought to replace all-gender bathrooms with women-only bathrooms.Voted against tax dollars for the trans agenda.Secured the Northland Workforce Development Center to boost young Americans' careers.AgricultureNorth Missouri runs on agriculture, and Nathan will fight to keep it that way. That means defending property rights so that farmland stays in the hands of the families who earned it — not foreign governments, not corporate conglomerates. It means creating fair markets where farmers get a real shot at profitability, not a system rigged against them by Washington insiders. And it means doing whatever it takes to ensure that generational farming remains possible — so that the next generation can inherit something worth working for.Where Nathan Stands: Defend property rights, fight for fair markets, and protect generational farming in North Missouri.Constituent ServicesA congressman's first job is to serve the people who sent him to Washington. Nathan believes that being available — truly available — to the men and women of the 6th District is not a bonus feature of the job, it is the job. Whether a constituent is fighting a federal agency, navigating a benefits issue, or simply needs someone in Washington to pick up the phone, Nathan will be there. North Missouri deserves a representative who shows up, not one who disappears between elections.Where Nathan Stands: Be there for every constituent who needs help — no excuses, no runaround.Pro LifeNathan is unequivocally pro-life and will vote that way in every Congress. Protecting life starts with protecting mothers — with real resources, real support, and real alternatives to abortion. It means banning the abortion pill that ends lives without ever setting foot in a clinic. It means ending taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider. And it means expanding Safe Haven Baby Boxes to every state in the union, so that no mother ever feels she has no other choice.Where Nathan Stands: Protect mothers, ban the abortion pill, defund Planned Parenthood, and bring Safe Haven Baby Boxes to all 50 states.ImmigrationAmerica First is not a slogan — it is the only immigration policy that makes sense. Nathan fully supports President Trump's deportation mandate and will vote to uphold and expand it in Congress. The rule of law has to mean something at our border. Illegal immigration drives down wages, strains public resources, and undermines the legal immigrants who came here the right way. Nathan will not apologize for defending the sovereignty of this country and the safety of the people who live in it.Where Nathan Stands: America First — fully back the Trump deportation mandate and enforce the law without apology.First RespondersThe men and women who run toward danger deserve a congressman who has their back in Washington. Nathan will fight to fully fund law enforcement — not defund it, not lecture it, fund it. He is especially committed to the rural first responders who protect North Missouri communities with limited budgets and no fanfare: the volunteer firefighters who answer the call in the middle of the night, and the county sheriffs who are often the only line of defense for miles. They deserve resources, respect, and a representative who means it.Where Nathan Stands: Fully fund law enforcement and stand behind every volunteer firefighter and county sheriff in North Missouri.EducationNathan is a math teacher. He has stood in the classroom and seen what public education looks like when Washington gets its hands on it — and he has seen what it looks like when it works. Public education was built and funded by local communities, and it should be run by them, not dictated by federal bureaucrats hundreds of miles away. Nathan will fight to restore public education to the parents and teachers who know their kids best, and to get the federal government out of the business of telling Missouri classrooms what to teach.Where Nathan Stands: Restore public education to local control and get the federal government out of Missouri classrooms.CorruptionWashington is broken in part because the people we send there stop being accountable to us. Nathan will fight for congressional term limits so that no politician can turn public service into a lifetime career at taxpayer expense. He will push to ban insider trading by members of Congress — the kind that lets politicians profit off information the rest of us don't have. And he will work to end lobbyist gift-giving, because when a lobbyist is buying dinners and flights, they're not buying goodwill — they're buying votes.Where Nathan Stands: Congressional term limits, ban insider trading, and ban lobbyist gifts — full stop.— Nathan Willett's campaign website (June 22, 2026)Note: This text is quoted verbatim from the original source. Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
Born and raised in the Northland, Nathan comes from a family of educators, ranchers, and small business owners. From the quality of schools to the strong sense of community, Nathan was fortunate to experience all the Northland has to offer.
Nathan graduated from the University of Missouri, where he was elected Mizzou student body president in the highest turnout in the school's 183 year history, with over 8,500 votes cast. Nathan and his team ran on the platform of bringing “Tigers Together” as Mizzou was experiencing one of the university’s most challenging periods in terms of stakeholder interaction. In the Chancellor’s Cabinet, Nathan made it a priority to get the school’s administrators out of Jesse Hall and into student spaces on campus to connect with Tigers of all backgrounds through “Coffee on the Couch”.
When it came time for Nathan to pursue his career post-college, he came back home to KC, eager to make a difference in the K-12 education system. Nathan has taught math for several years in both Kansas City Public Schools and Park Hill School District. Nathan is also a scholarship reviewer for KC Scholars.
Nathan attends Christ Community Church and enjoys playing pickleball, wood working, and exploring all the spots KC has to offer with friends.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Public Safety: The most important role of city government - Our First Responders are heroes who deserve strong support from City Hall.
Here’s How:
Ensure our police officers, fire fighters, and other first responders including mental health professionals have the resources and equipment they need to do their job. Hire more police officers to increase community partnerships and shorten response times. Keep partisan politics out of important policy decisions. Ensure City Hall effectively converses with constituents before voting on public safety measures.
Neighborhood Improvements:
The growth in the Northland is exciting. We need to ensure that our new development is done the right way while staying true to our commitments to existing neighborhoods and businesses.
Here’s How:
Collaborate with all Northland Public Improvement Advisory Committee (PIAC) Representatives on projects that improve aging infrastructure in our older neighborhoods. Advocate for the Northland’s share of GO Bonds for sidewalk and street repairs. Create inclusive parks and other public facilities for people of all backgrounds and abilities to enjoy. Continue to improve trash and recycling pick-up as well as snow removal efficiency.
